You've Never Seen A Goldwing Trike Like This.

This is a one of a kind Goldwing Trike. We’ve never built one like this before, and we’re so excited with how it turned out and can’t wait to show you what we’ve done!

Moses came to us with a unique challenge. He wanted to build a Goldwing trike that had all the best options available. He wanted an independent rear suspension. The widest front end for better steering and longevity. He wanted a stereo that was LOUD and clear. Running boards. Chrome wheels, extra gas tank, chrome bumper, LED lighted mudflaps, and lots of chrome new and refreshed. He wanted the works. UNB Customs delivered.

This trike was built with a Roadsmith HTS 1800 independent suspension trike kit in the rear. It extends the wheelbase about 9” giving it an extremely smooth ride.

The Roadsmith trike conversion was completed with Wing Guard running boards (that you can stand on). Chrome rear wheels. Chrome fender trim. Lighted mudflaps. A Bumper. a 5 gallon auxiliary fuel tank. 6 cubic feet of trunk space, a drawbar/trailer hitch and trike cover. But all those are just the beginning.

What is really setting this Goldwing trike apart from the rest is the unique addition of Hannigan’s 180 Front End Package.

Hannigan’s 180 front end package is wider and raked out for much easier steering. The wider fork and tire system allows for longer tire life than the standard motorcycle front tire. Plus looks great with the rest of the trike.

The next unique challenge was how to incorporate a LOUD stereo into the trike that still sounded crisp.

UNB Customs was able to modify the trike body to allow 2 speakers directly into the trike body. An Amp and subwoofer into the trunk. And we replaced the bikes speakers with tweeters that are way above stock quality speakers! Topped off with custom grills.

After the custom stereo was completed we wanted to light it up! UNB Customs added LED lights all over the bike so it would stand out in the dark just as much as it did in the sun!

All of this came together for an amazing one of a kind Goldwing trike. Independent rear suspension with a 3 year 1,000,000 mile warranty. A new wider easier steering front end. Custom stereo in the the trike body. LED lights. Chrome. And no one else has one like it!

We can’t wait to see where Moses and his Goldwing go. Congratulations on your new ride!

The ALL NEW HTX kit from Roadsmith trikes: For the new 2018 Goldwing 1800’s

The team at UNB Customs has completed its first trike conversion on the all new automatic 2018 Goldwing 1800! This is an incredible machine.

This conversion was done for our friend Tommie. He came to us last year looking to convert his Goldwing to a trike using a Roadsmith independent suspension trike kit. He wanted to see one in person first so he met us at the Wing Ding event in Knoxville TN. Roadsmith had a blue HTX trike kit on display.

The kit was ordered and UNB Customs got to work on the trike conversion.

Disassembling the rear end of the motorcycle, the saddle bags, rear wheel / tire, exhaust mufflers, swing arm and drive shaft and getting ready to install the trike kit. Once the bike is prepped the trike kit is rolled on the lift to start the trike kit installation. Installation of the trike kit and all accessories and painting the trike body to match the bike takes between 5-10 business days.

While the kit is being installed the fiberglass body gets put into the paint booth to be painted to match. The front end is also modified at this time to allow for easier steering. The new HTX kit uses a whole new cast aluminum fork assembly to increase the rake of the bike to act as power steering.

Tommie’s Goldwing trike was completed adding a bunch of trike accessories to it. The wing guard running boards (weight bearing), chrome wheels, mudflaps, fork assembly and lights in the body.

One of the defining features of Roadsmith’s HTX kit is that it moves the tour pack up 1.5 inches and back 1.5 inches. Creating much needed additional room for passengers. This is a Roadsmith exclusive.

The other exclusive trike accessory design from Roadsmith is the front fork assembly. It is a one new cast aluminum piece. This allows for precision accuracy in production and installation.

The completed trike conversion is beautiful. The new automatic Goldwing 1800’s make an extremely impressive trike. These are some of the best trikes one the market!

2011 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic CVO with Hannigan Transformer Trike Conversion

This Harley trike is for sale at UNB Customs. It started as this 2011 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic CVO.

before trike kit installation.jpg

The motorcycle’s 110” Screamin Eagle motor, CVO paint job and 21” chrome front wheel were more than enough reason to want to convert this bike!

We got to work disassembling the bike.

Once the Hannigan Transformer trike kit arrived Uwe and Kent started the trike kit installation.

After the trike kit is installed, we fit the body and side panels for a seamless fit.

Once the body is lined up, the trike is wired for the LED lights and custom fit the exhaust. Now Uwe gets the custom paint work started to match the CVO scheme.

After the custom paint work is completed, there is a few more touches. We installed a triple tree steering kit to act as power steering for much better steering and handling. Hooked up and bled the ABS brakes. Kent installed the Baker reverse system in the transmission and also aligned the trike for better tracking and handling. Uwe also tracked down some sweet custom chrome wheels for the trike kit to match the front wheels directional styling!

This custom Harley trike came out amazing and was revealed at Daytona bike week 2019 at the Speedway in the Hannigan Motorsports booth!

Dave's Custom Hot Rod Food Truck Metro Van

Our friend Dave from D&M Vending bought a 1960 Metro Van he wanted to sell ice cream out of. He found one in Ohio and had it shipped to him in Concord, North Carolina.

The van he bought had the rustic outer appearance he wanted but he needed the van customized to be a reliable form of transportation for him. It was going to be a mobile hot rod food truck. Once we got the Metro here, Uwe and Kent got to work. They found a 1995 GMC work van to be the chassis, motor and transmission to provide a much more modern feeling drive and handling.

They began by removing all the interior panels and insulation from the original Metro body. They then prepped and removed the body from the GMC.

After a LOT of cutting and fitting they were able to install the Metro van body onto the new chassis. Other customization’s include fabricating mounts for new bumpers (and straightening / painting of those bumpers), LED lights, head lights, new wheels, wheel spacers and fitment, remote brake booster, custom fitment of the van’s A/C unit, ball joint renewals and brand new glass.

The seats required new mounts to be custom fabricated. The dash and windshield area was prepped and painted to give it a fresh look. The van seats, dash and console lined up nicely for a comfortable seating and driving experience.

After a lot of hard work Dave’s custom hot rod food truck Metro Van project came out amazing! Here are some pictures of the finished project. You can find him driving it around here in Concord North Carolina or at a car show!

Bill shares his experience with UNB Customs while on a cross country trip on his Goldwing trike.

“Testimony of an unbelievable class act” - by our friend Bill Pierson

Let me begin, I was on the trip of a Lifetime riding ...all Four Corners of the United, States with a throw in of Alaska...I’m riding a 2012 Goldwing with the conversion of CSC also pulling a trailer...UNB did a check up on the Freedom Bird along with a oil change and was given the green light to depart on my trip.

Left home on May 23 2018 for Key West Fla , then onto California, then onto Washington State and the long haul of the Alaska Highway begins...we arrive and enjoyed the state ....ok and now to depart back to the lower 48.

Here’s where my trip goes sour.....on way back I lost the rear end had plenty of horsepower but no wheels motion...After the mumble jumbo … I called back to UNB and greeted with friendly voices, even after my explanation of events, these folks kept there up beat ways.

Uwe and Diane were kind of enough to work with Trucking firm to receive my Freedom Bird and check over my dilemma ....long and short of this is these kind folks ....top notch for they repaired and modified my Freedom Bird from a total mess to resurrection of a New Freedom Bird #2. All this is in a short period of time.

I was able to continue my trip from Montana to Maine then back home....I was able to purchase a different trike in Montana so picked up a Harley Davidson Ultra Limited with a Roadsmith rearend with independent suspension , low mileage and upon my return they took over this Harley. Taking it to different Bike Shows from Tennessee to Florida, to try and sell. These folks work Every day with a smile and your personal interests in mind. Everyone is treated the same and once you roll in the first thing you see is a shop that is it’s super clean, a sign of professional works.

These folks are super ...with in minutes your going to feel like you belong or adopted into a new Family.

After all this that I mentioned...I know your thinking about cost..$$$$, let me tell you .... I had a major redue and I walked away with a super smile of knowing everything was done properly and knowing I WILL Be Back.....and the best thing I still had my SHIRT!!!!
